This very moment right here is the “why” for me!

I had the privilege of speaking at the Rollettes Experience about one week ago.

While there, I had the amazing opportunity to meet so many young girls who attended the event. Each of them making their way through discovering who they are and what they dream of becoming.

Looking at this photo, I remember being her. It reminds me of my own life too.

This photo, this moment, is hands down my favorite moment of the entire event.

I had just gotten off stage and I was approached by the most amazing girl, Annabelle. 13 years old, so sweet, with the brightest light in her eyes.She proudly shared with me that she had recently watched my #Tedx Talk on #DisablingAbleism, AND not only had she watched it but she presented on it in school! https://lnkd.in/dPbFuhu9

I will never, EVER forget this moment. It is absolutely why I’m doing the work I’m doing everyday.

My goal is to simply widen paths for other little ones like me to follow. And I realize that through me they see what is possible. And in this they become braver than I was at that age.

My goal is to hopefully help make things a little easier by breaking down barriers through my #Advocacy.
