I’m proud to share an exciting milestone for The Alycia Anderson Company, LLC: we are now officially certified as a Disability-Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE) through Disability:IN.

This certification is more than a designation. It’s an affirmation of who we are, how we lead, and why this work matters.

Our mission has always been clear. The Alycia Anderson Company exists to help organizations Own It by embracing disability, elevating accessibility and culture, and empowering leaders to turn inclusion from intention into action. We believe disability is not a deficit, but a powerful driver of innovation, equity, and belonging when it is centered intentionally.

We bring this mission to life through consulting, keynote speaking, trainings, leadership development, and ERG strategy. Our work moves organizations beyond statements and performative commitments and toward systems-level change that lasts.

As a Disability-Owned Business Enterprise (DOBE) and a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), inclusion isn’t theoretical for us. It’s how we operate. It’s embedded in our lived experience, our leadership approach, and the partnerships we build. We don’t just advise on accessibility and inclusion—we live it every day.

I’m also deeply honored to serve in the inaugural disability seat on the California Department of Insurance Diversity Task Force, commissioned by Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara. In this role, I help ensure that disabled-owned businesses are represented in procurement conversations and policy discussions within the insurance industry. Representation at these tables matters, and I’m proud to contribute to shaping a more inclusive future.

This moment reflects progress, but it also signals responsibility. Certification opens doors, and it also strengthens our commitment to continue advocating, educating, and partnering with organizations ready to do the work.

💡 If your organization is evolving its supplier diversity strategy, I’d love to connect. Let’s build systems that reflect the world we want to see—accessible, equitable, and inclusive by design.
