Speaking for Legend Management Group: Full Circle Moments of Partnership and Purpose

A Trusted Partner and a Familiar Face

This month, I had the absolute honor of speaking for Legend Management Group during their All Hands event in celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). The event was led by my longtime friend and colleague, Karen Trueman, Director of Talent Development & Brand Reputation.

Intentional NDEAM Focus

Legend chose to sew in the theme of NDEAM into their annual All Hands meeting, a particularly poignant intention for an industry that plays such a vital role in the lives of those living with disabilities. Centering the conversation on inclusion, access, and belonging created space for reflection and action across their teams in Virginia and Maryland.

Roots in the Multifamily Industry

Karen and I go way back from our time in the multifamily industry, and she has consistently championed inclusion, belonging, and leadership excellence. When the booking request arrived from Karen, it felt like a full circle moment. Legend Management Group was one of the very first companies to hire me when I launched my business, and being invited back is the highest compliment I can receive.

Heart of Inclusion, Shared Across Virginia and Maryland

On October 22, 2025, I delivered my Heart of Inclusion keynote virtually to Legend’s talented team members across Virginia and Maryland. We explored what it means to see, value, and empower one another, building workplaces where everyone belongs and thrives. The energy, engagement, and authenticity from the Legend team were inspiring from start to finish.

More Than a Client

Legend is not just a client. They are a strategic partner committed to meaningful change. Their dedication to people, purpose, and community shines through in everything they do, from their company culture to their Legend Cares initiatives.

Gratitude and Momentum

As I continue this journey of speaking and advocacy, moments like these remind me why I do this work. Returning to spaces where the message has taken root, evolved, and continues to grow is a profound privilege.
