Purpose-Driven Advocacy
From discussing my roots in Sacramento Valley and the intentional choice of advocating close to California’s capital, to reflecting on pivotal moments like my TEDx talk on “Disabling Ableism,” each interaction allows me to revisit and reaffirm my purpose. Launching my podcast, “Pushing Forward with Alycia,” opened yet another door to deep connection and community-building around disability inclusion.
Modeling on the runway for Runway of Dreams was more than just fashion; it was a powerful statement of representation. Similarly, my educational advocacy and systemic work in California’s policy sphere underscores the comprehensive approach necessary to build true inclusivity.
Healthcare equity and the urgency of maintaining essential access for disabled communities remain central to my conversations, highlighting how critical it is for all of us to actively participate in shaping inclusive policies.
Looking Forward
Looking forward, I’m developing a digital learning series aimed at workplace inclusion, alongside writing a memoir that weaves personal narrative with actionable leadership insights.
Each interview, from Jejune to Authority, from Action to Artenzza, from Pop Size UK and beyond, deepens my understanding of why this work matters, not just for me, but for all of us. Together, through storytelling, advocacy, and openness, we continue to create pathways for true inclusion.
Thank you for being on this journey with me. Your voice matters in building the inclusive world we believe is possible.
